Fernando Tatis Jr.’s Baby Momma Is Demanding More Child Support, $20k A Month Is Not Enough

The mother of San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr.'s two-year-old daughter is now taking the MLB superstar to court, as she is seeking an increase in child support.

According to TMZ, Jennifer Rodriguez claimed this week in court documents, that ever since she became pregnant with Tatis Jr.'s child (September 2021), he has treated his fatherly duties as a "business arrangement."

In view of Tatis Jr.'s contract, he signed a 13-year, $240 million deal with the Padres in 2021, and this led to him agreeing to pay Rodriguez $20,000 a month.

Nevertheless, that is apparently not enough, as Rodriquez is now seeking more.

"I have come to understand how little [our daughter] has compared to the benefits that Fernando receives for being a visible MLB star and local San Diego celebrity," she said. "I have also come to understand how much it will cost to support a child to live at Fernando's station in life."

In particular, she pointed out in the court documents that Tatis Jr. lives in a huge mansion, and has a bunch of fancy cars, so she says their daughter deserves to share in that same lavish lifestyle.

Tatis Jr.'s attorney, Michael Strauss, has responded to this with a statement.

"Ms. Rodriguez's decision to push out a false narrative about Fernando and the Tatís family is nothing new...He is confident in the legal process and trusts that Ms. Rodriguez's claims about him will not hold up in court. He loves and supports his daughter and will continue to do so."

For now, Tatis is focused on the MLB postseason, as his Wild Card series performance, going 4-for-6, with 2 runs, 2 RBI's, and 1 home run, helped lead the Padres to a series sweep over the Atlanta Braves, advancing to the NLDS round.

Tatis Jr. and the Padres are set to face-off with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS series, as Game 1 will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 8:38 pm ET.
