Shedeur Sanders Had Fans Buzzing After Exchange With Raiders Owner Mark Davis

Colorado Buffaloes third-year starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders is recognized as one of the best players in college football. This season he has put up astounding numbers. He has netted 1630 passing yards and a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 14-3 in five games.

Mark Davis Hints at Drafting Shedeur Sanders

Sanders will be draft-eligible after this season. Many believe he will be among the first few quarterbacks taken off the board next spring in the 2025 NFL Draft, which is why the exchange Sanders has with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis this weekend is so significant.

Davis also owns the Las Vegas Aces and he and Sanders were both in attendance for Game 3 of Aces' playoff matchup with the New York Liberty on October 4 in Las Vegas. Cameras caught an exchange between the Shedeur and the Raiders' owner. During the exchange, he hinted at drafting Sanders to the Raiders if he is still on the board.

"Who knows, you might be home right now," Davis said to Shedeur as the Buffaloes' quarterback cracked a smile.

Raiders Owner Has Built WNBA Dynasty

Davis has proven to be a successful owner with the Aces. After drafting A'ja Wilson in 2018 they became one of the more formidable franchises in the league. They have captured the WNBA Championship in 2022 and 2023 and are seeking to become the first team to win three consecutive championships since the 1999 Houston Comets.

Wilson has proven to become a generational superstar in her own right. A'ja has won the WNBA MVP award three times, the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice, and been selected to the All-WNBA team five times.

Clearly, Davis has an eye for talent and Shedeur has piqued his interest.

The Raiders could also be in a position to draft first overall which would make things even more interesting. They are currently sitting 2-2 and last place in the AFC West.

Things could get even more dire for the franchise in the future. It appears that their star wide receiver Davante Adams has played his last down with the franchise and could be traded in the coming weeks or perhaps even days. That would put them squarely in the driver's seat for the first overall pick.
