"In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I'll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water and first aid to fellow Floridians in need," Brady said in a statement. "My friends at (Gopuff) are matching this, along with all other donations made via 'Give With Gopuff,' all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation.

"Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out anyway you're able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida."

According to NBC News, Hurricane Milton made landfall Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET near Siesta Key, Florida. The storm knocked out the power for more than 3.4 million people. At least nine people have been confirmed dead.

The City of Tampa did not have any serious injuries or deaths as of Thursday morning, per NBC Sports. Mayor Jane Castor said in a press conference that about half a million homes were without power and that there was extensive flooding in some areas.

Mayor Castor also noted that residents of Tampa followed the evacuation orders.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had multiple facilities impacted by Hurricane Milton. Raymond James Stadium and the practice facility only suffered cosmetic damage.

Brady will forever have ties to Tampa and Florida due to the effect he had on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He joined the team in 2020 after winning six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. Brady led the Buccaneers to an 11-5 record in the regular season. Once the playoffs began, he led the team to wins over the Commanders, Saints, and Packers.

These three wins put the Buccaneers into the Super Bowl where they faced off with the Chiefs. The Buccaneers went out and won 31-9.

The future Hall of Famer spent two more seasons with the Buccaneers. The team reached the playoffs in 2021 but lost to the Rams in the Divisional Round. Brady and the Buccaneers then reached the playoffs again in 2022 but lost to the Cowboys in the Wild Card Round.

Brady retired after this loss and joined Fox Sports as an analyst, but he continues to have an impact on the residents of Florida.
