Jets Give Aaron Rodgers Injury Update Ahead of Monday Night Football Clash vs. Bills

The New York Jets will host the Buffalo Bills for the Week 6 edition of Monday Night Football. This will be a pivotal matchup with both teams amid a losing streak, the winner of this game will have sole possession of the number one seed in the AFC East.

Rodgers Removed From Injury Report Ahead of Bills Game

One key concern for the Jets was the health status of their starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers sustained a low ankle sprain in their 17-23 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London last Sunday. But it appears that an extra day of rest was exactly what the star quarterback needed to get back in game shape. The star quarterback has officially been removed from New York's injury report with all signs pointing toward him suiting up on Monday against Buffalo.

"Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play Monday night against the Bills as expected. Rodgers returned to full participation at practice and has no injury designation. His ankle injury limited him on Thursday and Friday," NBC Sports reports.

"Rodgers was injured in last week's loss to the Vikings when multiple Minnesota players fell on him, twisting his ankle. He did not miss a snap."

Jets Will Be Without Key Players in Divisional Clash

Despite Rodgers' return, there are still some key names that remain on the Jets' injury report.

Their starting cornerback Michael Carter II has officially been ruled out with a back injury. In addition, their starting tight end Tyler Conklin and linebacker CJ Mosly were listed as questionable with both players being limited participants in practice this week.

In addition, there will be a new man wearing the headset this week. After head coach Robert Saleh was relieved of his duties earlier this week, Jeff Ulbrich will take over as the interim. In his first move as the head man Ulbrich relieved offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett of his playcalling duties.

The Jets will need to be fully focused heading into their first matchup with the Bills. The result of this game against a divisional opponent could be significant in terms of the postseason standings.
