Broncos Fans Rip Bo Nix After Another Dismal Performance

The Denver Broncos have begun to turn the gas up after a pedestrian start to the season. They dropped their first two games, but have won three of their last four contests.

Fans Go Scorched Earth on Bo Nix

But although the team is beginning to percolate, Bronco's starting quarterback Bo Nix has continued to struggle. During their Thursday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints, fans went scorched earth on the rookie quarterback.

"Bo Nix somehow overthrew and under threw a wide-open receiver on the same play," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Bo Nix has made some all-time bad passes tonight. What an ugly football game," another user added.

Broncos Rookie Gets Honest About His Early Struggles

Coming into tonight Nix had only completed 121 of his last 198 pass attempts for 1,082 yards. He also has a touchdown to interception ratio of 5:5 and a dismal quarterback rating of 44.0.  Less than ideal numbers for a 12th overall pick. While Nix remains optimistic about what the future holds, he still knows there is a lot of room for improvement.

"I do see the progress, but I still see some that I'm leaving out there,Nix said. "It's a happy medium — a fine line of both — feeling like I am making strides, but, at the same time, there are things I continue to go back and watch that I know I'm capable of doing. It's good to see the progress and the strides, but I'm not where I want to be yet."

The New Orleans Saints have had one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL this season. And that has been thanks in part to the emergence of their star wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. Through the first six weeks of the season, Shahid has registered 20 receptions for 349 receiving yards and three touchdowns. But in their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, Shaheed sustained a meniscus injury that has put his season in jeopardy. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Shaheed is set to have surgery this week to determine the severity of the injury.

"Saints WR Rashid Shaheed's meniscus surgery Thursday is now expected to determine whether he will be sidelined multiple weeks or for the rest of the season," Schefter tweeted.
