Ryan Truex is not yet finished making starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season. He will return for a high-speed track.

Sam Hunt Racing announced Monday that Truex will reunite with the team for this weekend's race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The New Jersey native will take over the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra as he makes his first start at the 1.5-mile Florida track since 2018.
This will not be Truex's first start for Sam Hunt Racing. He previously joined the Toyota team for one start to kick off the 2022 season. The veteran driver started 38th at Daytona International Speedway and finished 12th while driving the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra.
Truex has made 10 starts this season in Xfinity while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, continuing a successful relationship from last season. He has posted six top-10 finishes and three top-fives while driving the No. 19 and No. 20 Toyotas.
More importantly, Truex has scored two wins this season. He won in the return to Dover Motor Speedway, successfully defending his first career win from last season. He then won the summer race at Daytona International Speedway.
Truex has three Xfinity wins in his last 12 starts for Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota Gazoo Racing North America.
While he has delivered multiple wins in NASCAR's second-tier series, he has not locked up a full-time seat for the 2025 season. This is something Truex continues to pursue as he races part-time and does simulation work for Toyota Gazoo Racing.
"It's not what I drew up," Truex said at Daytona about his part-time role. "It's not what I think I deserve. But, yeah, it's hard to complain racing cars for a living and driving virtual cars for a living.
"It's a pretty cool job, pretty cool setup. And I got a lot of off weekends, which is kind of nice. But the hard part is, I know in the back of my mind if I was in one of these cars full-time, I could win a championship."
