Fans Disgusted With Syracuse QB Kyle McCord After Four Interception First Half

Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord has had a relatively good season. He was recently added to the Manning Award watchlist. Fans Rip Kyle McCord After Dismal First Half

At the end of the second quarter, McCord's stat line read:

16/33

133 passing yards

4 interception

3 pick sixes

And the Orangemen trailed 30-0 to Pitt at the half.

After a dismal first half, fans went crazy with their reactions on social media.

"Kyle McCord has three passing touchdowns in just one half of football tonight. Unfortunately, they all went to the other team," one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Kyle McCord really has thrown 3 Pick-6's in the 1st half against Pitt Thankful Ohio State doesn't have to deal with him anymore," another fan added.

"I don't ever want to hear s*** about Kyle McCord again," another fan said.

Pitt Coach Gets Honest on Syracuse QB

Heading into their matchup with Pitt in Week 9 McCord had thrown for 300 or more yards in all six of the Orangemen's games this season. That ties the University's record for most 300-yard games in a single season. He's also thrown 19 touchdown passes, which ties for sixth most in program history for a season.

Ahead of their matchup with Pitt, their head coach, Pat Narduzzi said that he thinks McCord has NFL potential.

"Kyle McCord is a tremendous football player," Narduzzi said. "If you're not a Pitt fan, if you're not a Syracuse fan, but you're a quarterback fan, you should get your tickets now because that guy's going to play in the National Football League. We watched him on third down the other day. I don't know if he throws an incomplete pass, especially on third and medium."
