Many of the Indianapolis Colts fans were optimistic about this season especially because they were getting a healthy QB1 in Anthony Richardson, who went down with an injury just four games into last season.

Colts Fans Disgusted With Anthony Richardson
But this season has been unlike anything Colts fans hope for from Richardson. He has two twice as many interceptions as he has touchdowns and has accrued just 783 yards over five games.
The Colts game against their division rival, the Houston Texans may have been one of his worst performances yet. In the first half, Richardson threw for just 94 yards, 1 touchdown, and a huge interception before the half that led to the Texans taking the lead into the locker room. Needless to say, Colts fans were not happy, with some fans even wanting him benched for Colts backup quarterback, Joe Flacco.
"Anthony Richardson is the worst quarterback I've ever seen," one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"If you can get any future first for Anthony Richardson...I'm talking late 2025 first, 2027 first, whatever...just sell him and save yourself the heartache," another user added.
Chuck Pagano Gets Honest on QBs Recent Struggles
It has been a struggle for Richardson thus far. But it is important to remember that this is his first full season in the NFL. So technically he is still making rookie mistakes and will need time to develop. It's one of the reasons Colts head coach Chuck Pagano is not worried about his starting quarterback.
"We just need for AR to clean up his game," Pagano said.
"Hit the easy completions. Work the pocket. Be clean in the pocket. Get your fundamentals right. We know he has arm talent out of the yin-yang. The throws he made against this team in Week 1, you think about the big plays, the things he can do with his legs, let's just have a clean game by AR."
