Fans Disgusted With Cris Collinsworth's Analysis During Cowboys, 49ers
But even though the focus was supposed to be on the field with the Cowboys and 49ers, some fans had their attention centered elsewhere. In what has become a weekly tradition, fans we unhappy with the analysis of Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth. During the telecast, they voiced those displeasures on social media.
"Nothing ruins a weekend like having to watch the Cowboys while listening to Cris Collinsworth," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I hate Cris Collinsworth. Who the hell spells Chris Cris," another user added.
Jerry Jones Makes Bold Statement on Derrick Henry
Over the past several years, despite having a myriad of talent, the Cowboys have suffered several bitter playoff exits. After a two-decade-long long-drought without a Super Bowl appearance fans began to clamor for changes that would put the team over the hump.
That change became available when All-Pro running back Derrick Henry became available this past season. And despite having the cap flexibility during the free agency period, the Cowboys elected not to pursue Henry, who eventually signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
This season, Henry is having arguably the best season of his career. So far he has racked up 9 touchdowns and 946 rushing yards. But even though Henry is having a career year in Baltimore, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not convinced that would have been the case if he signed with Dallas.
"Derrick is having a career year. I don't know if he'd be having a career year in our situation... We don't run that type of offense at all... Derrick didn't fit, principally due to managing the cap," Jones said.
