Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the OKC Thunder are off to a hot start in their 2024-25 campaign. The team is undoubtedly looking to maintain their momentum from a year ago when they sat atop the Western Conference standings.

Draymond Green Thinks OKC Isn't Serious

Some around the league are skeptical on whether the group has what it takes to be a serious title contender this year. One in particular, four-time champion Draymond Green, was not shy about his thoughts on the latest episode of his podcast.

"The one thing I see with the OKC team that is a little alarming for me is like their postgames," Green told co-host and former Golden State guard Baron Davis during Tuesday's episode of The Draymond Green Show. "Like, seven guys in the interview. There's a certain seriousness that it takes to win in this league, and there's a certain fear you have to instill in teams in order to win."

Green added that there's always room for having fun in the NBA, but Oklahoma City should recognize the opportunity in front of them and take full advantage of it.

"I don't think OKC understands, but their moment is now. Their moment started last year.

"You're no longer the team that is just building through the draft. You've arrived. It is now time for you to take that next step, and I'm not sure they quite understand everything that that entails."

Oklahoma City Off to Good Start

The Thunder scratched their way to the top of an intense Western Conference last season before receiving a second-round exit in the Playoffs courtesy of Luka Doncic and the Mavericks. But the team appears ready to endure the brutality of the regular season to obtain the same position and potentially go all the way.

Oklahoma City is a perfect 4-0 to start the season and it's the usual suspects that are showing out on the stat sheets.

Second-year big man Chet Holmgren stunnned in his first three games, averaging 23.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals.
