After the fans were chanting "we want Bronny," they got their wish with just over five minutes left in the game, as the Kid from Akron's kid stepped onto the court and was welcomed with a standing ovation accompanied by an array of cheers from the northeast Ohio crowd.

With two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Bronny James pulled up for a long baseline jumper and sunk the shot. That is, the whole entire arena erupted, as they were witnesses to Bronny's first ever points in an NBA game.

Although the game ended in a Cavs' 134-110 win, Bronny was the talk of the night.

With the hype surrounding this potential storybook moment, it may have exceeded expectations. And some fans have joked that the Cavs showed good sportsmanship by blowing the Lakers out, because this ultimately gave Bronny an opportunity to check into the ball game.

LeBron previously spoke about what it would be like for him and Bronny in their return to where it all started.

"It's definitely going to be very special to be back home and run on the floor with my son. We spent a lot of time on that floor throughout my days when I played there for 11 years," LeBron said.

Following the game, LeBron spoke on his son's Cleveland debut.

"He's better than I woulda been in that situation... If the roles were reversed I don't know if I would be able to handle it."

The NBA's all-time leading scorer continued, "To see him get his first NBA basket in this arena where he grew up, not too far from here... It's an unbelievable moment."

Ultimately, Cleveland fans never forgot the one who helped end their 52-year championship drought, as it was a King's welcome, with the city giving a warm reception to the first father-son duo in NBA history.
