There's certainly a bit of irony to hearing former NBA champion Draymond Green condemning violence in the league.

The Golden State Warriors did just that on a recent episode of The Draymond Show while responding to comments from Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla. On Thursday Green said he understood Mazzulla's point but had to draw the line at the idea of physical altercations in the game, saying he would "leave that to Joe."
"I get what Joe is trying to get at," Green said to co-host Baron Davis. "The s—t talking and guys getting testy, we take so much of that out of the game today... Actual physical fights, Joe - I'm here to petition against you."
Green proceeded to make it personal, illustrating how fighting put him in an awkward spot with the league and its officials.
"Where (fighting) almost led me, I don't want none of that," he added.
The four-time champion has been the center of attention for numerous incidents of player violence in his career. Fans may recall that ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season, Green was involved in a widely publicized altercation with one of his own teammates. He and then-Warriors guard Jordan Poole got into it during a training camp which ultimately ended with Poole being struck in the face.
Green said he was ashamed of his actions during the incident and tried to keep his distance from his squad throughout the season.
"I was so embarrassed to be around our team last year with [Jordan Poole] still on the [Warriors]," Green said.
"Because I was so embarrassed to show my face at that time that I would start timing everything. If we're on the road, I'd time it up to the minute that I'd need to get there. If the elevator took a little bit longer than it was supposed to, I'd be late."
