Saquon Barkley Takes Shot at Giants
After the Washington Commanders' loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Eagles now sit atop the NFC East. That is largely thanks to their free agent acquisition, Saquon Barkley. After a ridiculous play where he hurdled backward in Week 9, Barkley looks to have found the fountain of youth.
In a new interview, Barkley suggested that the new spring in his step has been due to him having a sense of security by way of his new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Seemingly a shot at his former team, the New York Giants, who let him walk in free agency last offseason.
"It was like, I got the guaranteed money that I want, I got the contract that I want. For the last three or four years, I've been on a one-year deal. I can go back to playing ball," Barkley said. "Yeah, I'm jumping over people again because I got money. I have security, I have financial security.

Pundit Declares Eagles Super Bowl Contenders
The Eagles started the season off rather pedestrian. They started the year with a 2-2 record through four games. But as the season has waned on, Nick Sirianni and the Eagles have adjusted to the times. They have won four straight games against the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rohan Nadkarni of NBC News believes the Eagles have the makings of a Super Bowl contender.
"Philadelphia is allowing only 290.1 yards per game, the third-best mark in the NFL. (A year ago, the defense allowed 356.1, the seventh worst.) The defensive line continues to be a menace, ranking 10th and second, respectively, in pass rush win rate and run stop win rate for the second season in a row," Nadkarni writes.
"Put it all together, and on paper, the Eagles have all the traits of a bona fide Super Bowl contender. Or at least all the clichés.They run the ball well. They stop the run. The quarterback doesn't make mistakes and can still hit big plays to talented receivers."
