The Kansas City Chiefs have lost the man responsible for the second-most points this season as Harrison Butker will undergo surgery. He will miss multiple games while recovering, including Sunday's matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

According to NFL Media, Butker will have arthroscopic surgery to trim down the meniscus in his left knee. This procedure will sideline him for roughly three to four weeks as the Chiefs try to keep the undefeated season alive.
The expectation is that Butker will return in time to close the regular season and participate in the playoffs. The Chiefs remain in the hunt for their third consecutive Super Bowl title. No team has ever won three in a row.
The Chiefs will move forward with Spencer Shrader as the placekicker. Shrader, who was previously on the Jets practice squad, has appeared in two games this season for two different teams.
The rookie made three extra points against the Texans in Week 1 as a member of the Colts. Shrader then kicked two field goals last weekend for the Jets during a 31-6 loss to the Cardinals.
The next task for Shrader will be replacing Butker, who landed a four-year contract extension worth $25.6 million during the offseason. The veteran kicker was one of the sport's most consistent weapons before landing the extension, and he has only further done so as the Chiefs have remained undefeated.
Butker is second on the Chiefs with 75 points scored this season. The only player ahead of him is quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has scored 78 points. Kareem Hunt and Xavier Worthy are second with 30 points scored each.
The Chiefs, now 9-0, have heavily relied on Butker this season. The overwhelming number of their games have been decided by only one score. This includes a one-point win over the Bengals, a six-point win over the Buccaneers, and a two-point win over the Broncos.
