According to a Wednesday press release, Kris Wright will replace Anthony Alfredo in the No. 5 Our Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro. He will move to the Xfinity Series on a full-time basis while continuing his relationship with sponsor F.N.B. Corporation.
"I am thrilled to join Our Motorsports for the 2025 season," Wright said in a statement. "I'm equally excited to make my return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series and look forward to hitting the road for 33 weeks to take on the challenges of a full season together."
Wright spent last season competing full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. He drove for Venturini Motorsports and posted eight top-five finishes and 12 top-10s during the 20-race season. He ended the year third in the championship standings.
Wright also has experience in both the Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The bulk of his national series experience is in Trucks, which includes 47 starts, but he made 16 Xfinity starts between 2021-22. His best finish in Xfinity was 17th at Watkins Glen International for Sam Hunt Racing. Now he will gain more experience while joining Our Motorsports for its sixth season in NASCAR.
With Alfredo in the No. 5 last season, Our Motorsports was at times in contention for a spot in the playoffs. The Connecticut native posted two top-five finishes and seven top-10s, headlined by a third-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway in the spring. Alfredo ended the season 15th in points.
"As we build on our successful 2024 season, we look forward to bringing Kris Wright in as our driver for 2025," said Chris Our, co-owner of Our Motorsports, in a statement.
"Kris is coming off his best season in NASCAR and ARCA Menards Series competition, and we are excited to compete together next year. Our goal remains the same: finish every lap and every race on the schedule."
