McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced the news Monday morning. The team said that the California native will be back in the No. 18 Chevrolet Silverado RST for another season. He will continue to have LIUNA as his primary partner.

Ankrum, who has competed full-time in the Truck Series since 2019, joined McAnally-Hilgemann Racing last season. He made the playoffs for the third time in his career while posting a career-high 12 top-10 finishes and six top-fives.

He finished eighth in the championship standings while matching his career-best average finish of 13.4.

While he didn't win a race last season, Ankrum led the Truck Series standings through the first four races. A runner-up finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was the high point of this pivotal stretch.

Ankrum posted these numbers while working with veteran Mark Hillman as his crew chief. This is a relationship that will continue into 2025 as Hillman guides the No. 18 team.

"Tyler had his strongest season in 2024 and the best is yet to come," said team co-owner Bill McAnally said in a press release. "He, Mark (Hillman), and the whole LIUNA team worked well together, made a strong playoff run, and put themselves in position to win some races.

"The growth of MHR we have for 2025 will make the No. 18 team stronger and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish with Tyler next season."

Ankrum, who has one career Truck Series win, will become teammates with a former Xfinity Series champion. He will work alongside Daniel Hemric, who moves from Kaulig Racing to McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

Hemric will take over the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado RST that Christian Eckes used to reach the Championship 4 last season, and he will compete full-time in the Truck Series for the first time since the 2016 season.
