According to "What's on Netflix," executive producers Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker provided the news during an interview about the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
Decker mentioned March or April during an interview with the outlet. Mullen provided a more exact release window.
"Yeah, the Netflix schedule is a little bit thicker this time in February, so the next iteration of the show, season two, will drop in April," Mullen told "What's on Netflix."
This is a major change from the first season of "NASCAR: Full Speed," which hit Netflix in January. Fans were able to watch the five-episode season while preparing for the Busch Light Clash and then the season-opening Daytona 500.
If the second season lands on Netflix in April 2025, as Mullen said, it will be nearly 10 races into the Cup Series season. Teams will be in the midst of races at Darlington Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Talladega Superspeedway.
Like the first season, "NASCAR: Full Season" will feature five episodes covering the 10 playoff races and the biggest names competing for the Bill France Cup. Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick were some of the drivers who made appearances.
NASCAR revealed at the end of September that the Netflix documentary series would return. This was part of a partnership with Words + Pictures that led to the creation of Full Speed Entertainment.
NASCAR said in a press release that this production partnership would lead to such premium content as documentaries, series, special events, studio shows, podcasts, and more.
The camera crews had been at the track for several weeks before NASCAR's announcement, but the press release officially confirmed that the series would return to Netflix. NASCAR just did not provide a timeline for its release.
