Arizona Head Coach Chuck Cecil Suffers Gruesome Injury
The emotions were especially high for Arizona Wildcats assistant coach, Chuck Cecil. Ahead of the Wildcats' matchup against their rival Arizona State Sun Devils, Cecil headbutted one of his players pregame. And in the aftermath of the brave gesture, Cecil began to bleed profusely from his forehead.
"A University of Arizona defensive assistant is going to wake up with a splitting headache Sunday ... 'cause he headbutted a player wearing a helmet out of excitement — and cut his forehead wide-open," TMZ Sports wrote.
"Chuck Cecil — a senior defensive assistant with the Wildcats — was hyping up one of his guys pregame ... grabbing cornerback Owen Goss' helmet and slamming his head hard into the player's."

Coach's Head Bled Throughout Matchup
And the injury was not a small thing either. In fact, Cecil's head continued to profusely bleed. So much that during the matchup you could see the crimson stain through his hat.
"Goss was wearing a helmet ... but Cecil wasn't — and, after smashing his head into the player's three times, he was clearly bleeding," TMZ Sports added.
"Seems he didn't have time to wash up ... 'cause cut to later and in the game, and Cecil was obviously still bleeding from underneath the bill of his cap."
Unfortunately for Cecil and the Wildcats, the gesture was ineffective as Arizona fell to the Sun Devils 42-7 and has now dropped to 4-8 on the season.
However, the viral moment did lead to plenty of fan reactions on Twitter.
"Google Chuck Cecil! One of the hardest-hitting NFL players ever!!!" one user said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Hard-hitting ex-packer safety...doesn't surprise me one bit, Cecil was tough lol," another user added.
