Fans Rip Struggles as Kicking Struggles Continue
The Ravens offense continued to hum as it has done all season. In the first half, Ravens starting quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a laser to tight end Mark Andrews for the touchdown.
However, Ravens' kicker Justin Tucker's field goal struggles continued as he missed a chip shot for the extra point. With Tucker's accuracy continuing to dwindle, fans did not hold back on social media.
"It's time to put Justin Tucker down like a 16-year-old yellow lab," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Justin Tucker is washed. The Ravens need to cut him," another person added.
Mike McDaniel Nixed Campbell to Ravens Trade
The Ravens have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL this season. They have a record of 8-4 and are in second place in a loaded AFC North Division. But if you could point to one glaring weakness for Baltimore as they head toward the playoffs, it would have to be their defense. It has been among the worst in the NFL this season.
The Ravens tried to make improvements to the Baltimore defense ahead of the November 5 trade deadline. According to ESPN NFL Insider Ian Rapaport, the Ravens tried to pry veteran defensive lineman Calais Cambell from the Miami Dolphins. However, the trade was ultimately nixed by Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.
"Prior to the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 5, the Ravens went big-game hunting, hoping to solidify their defensive front with a familiar face.
Calais Campbell was the target. He had thrived in Baltimore before, and the Ravens hoped he would again," Rapaport writes.
"Yet as the deal got closer, sources say, the Dolphins resisted. At various points over a hectic two days before the deadline, sources involved believed a deal was getting done and Campbell would return to Baltimore.
That is until Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel stepped in. Sources say McDaniel stopped the deal, believing that Campbell was too valuable to lose. McDaniel told Campbell this to his face in a meeting."
