For most of the eight million people living in New York City, riding the Subway is a way of life. And now former NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning has admitted that he has never rode the subway... until today.

On Thursday the two-time Super Bowl winning QB took to social media, making the announcement that he will be completing the New Yorkers rite of passage for the first time at 43 years old.

Fans obviously went crazy over the fact that it was his first time, considering that he played in New York from 2004-2019.

One X user wrote, "Wait. Weren't you the QB for the NY Giants for like 15 years? And never rode the subway?"

And another person said, "Lived in NY how long? Must be nice to be part of the elite."

Then there were multiple people concerned for Eli's safety on his first subway trip.

"And probably last, with knowing how new york is," one guy joked.

Others said, "keep your head on a swivel" and "May God be with you."

While there is no update if Eli survived his trip, or where he was going, the former NFL quarterback can now check this off his bucket list.

Notably, he was just announced as a semi-finalist for the upcoming 2025 hall-of-fame induction.

In view of his on-the-field accolades Eli has quite the underrated resume, as he was named Super Bowl MVP in both 2008 (XLII) and 2012 (XLVI). In addition, the younger Manning brother is a four-time Pro Bowler and holds the single-season postseason passing record and completions (2011).

Considering that both Super Bowl victories came against Patriots' QB Tom Brady, it seems they still have beef. Over the weekend, Eli showed he caught a bigger fish than Brady, then the seven-time Super Bowl champ responded by saying, "You use a helmet to catch that one too?"

For those who don't know TB12 was referencing "the helmet catch" in 2008.

Overall, Eli has impressive career numbers with 57,000 passing yards along with 366 pass TD's and 244 interceptions thrown.
