Fans Outraged Over 'Horrible' Lions, Packers Thursday Night Football Matchup

All eyes were on the NFC North division rivalry game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers to kick off Week 14 in the NFL. With the Lions having the chance to clinch the division with a win over Green Bay the stakes for this matchup between two of the hottest teams in the NFL were as high as ever.

But even after a high-scoring 17-7 first half between the two NFC North heavyweights, fans were unhappy with the product of the Thursday Night Football telecast, which has become a recurring theme throughout this season. Amid the game, they expressed their dismay on social media.

"Thursday night football on prime is horrible," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter on December 5.

"NFL needs to flex good matchups out of Thursday Night games and put the s****y teams on Thursday Night.. It's a terrible product.. Not enough recovery time," another fan added.

Jamal Adams Sounds Off After Signing With Detroit

In addition to their explosive offense, Detroit has also made tweaks to their defense adding star pass-rusher Za'Darius Smith to their defensive front. The Lions aren't just primed for a deep playoff run, they also look primed to win this year's Super Bowl as not many teams have the talent to go toe-to-toe with them.

This week head coach Dan Campbell added another former pro bowler to their roster. Former New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks Safety Jamal Adams was added to their practice squad. When speaking to the media earlier this week, Adams was thrilled about the opportunity.

"I mean, there's no better opportunity, man. Obviously, just being home in Dallas and just continuing to train. When A.G. called, it was a no-brainer for me," Adams said.

"I mean, they've been kicking everybody's ass. So I'm fortunate enough to, again, just to be on a team that's rolling like that. And whatever I can do to help, that's what I'm here for."
