That is to say, backup QB Gunner Stockton was put in to take over in the second half. And considering, he is a high school legend in Georgia, fans cheered as he took the field.

On his opening drive the Sophomore took the Bulldogs right down the field to score their first touchdown of the game.

For those who don't know, Stockton was a high school phenom dual-threat quarterback, as he is ranked first all-time in Georgia for passing TD (177), total TD (254), and total yards (18,024).

Many fans pointed out that it might not be a good look for senior Beck, as in the whole first half he only had 56 passing yards. Yet, Stockton seemed to come in out of nowhere and help give Georgia the lead.

Ultimately, Stockton helped lead Georgia to a 22-19 overtime victory over Texas.

To note, on the last play of the game, Beck had to come in again because Stockton got hit so hard his helmet flew off.

Overall, Beck's draft stock has fallen tremendously this season. Coming into the year, he was projected as high as a No. 1 overall pick, yet now he is more than likely a Day 2 selection.

This season, Beck has passed for 3,429 yards to go with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

All in all, it is yet to be known if Beck will be able to recover for the College Football Playoffs, if not Georgia has one of the best backup QB's in the country.
