Cousins Booed in Minnesota Return

But despite the success he enjoyed with the Vikings, Cousins chose to test the free agent market. And it was a head-scratcher when he pulled the trigger and joined the Atlanta Falcons during the offseason.

Cousins returned to Minnesota for the first time as a member of the Falcons. And when he entered the game during Atlanta's first offensive drive, he was greeted with a chorus of boos from Vikings fans.

Raheem Morris Gets Honest on Falcons QB

Coming into this season, a lot of people felt that the Falcons had the formula to become a playoff contender. Especially after bringing in a veteran quarterback like Kirk Cousins.

But to this point, the Cousins hype train has not really left the station. This season he has a touchdown to interception ratio of 17:13. He also has quarterback rating of 90.8.

With Cousins struggling, many thought that the 36-year-old could have been dealing with an injury. But earlier this season, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said that wasn't the case.

"I feel like Kirk is healthy," Morris said. "He's been healthy since he's been here."

As for Cousins and the Falcons' offensive woes, Morris says that is just going to be a matter of trial and error.

"With Kirk being here, we've been doing the same thing since he's been here, and that's how we've planned on playing and we've played that way throughout," Morris added.

"We've played that way for a minute, and we've done a bunch of different things in our case and everything we're going to do is figuring out how to win this football game. And that was the plan to go out there and win the football game."
