A New York Giants fan has taken a unique step to show their frustrations amid a 2-10 season. They called the franchise a dumpster fire while sending a message to Team President John Mara.

The message was delivered by an airplane, which flew a banner over MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Fans were in the building to watch the Giants and Saints face off, but they first watched the plane do its laps with the "Mr. Mara enough — plz fix this dumpster fire" message.

"A wasted message. Mr. Mara IS the dumpster fire," an angry Giants fan posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Another weighed in and said that the franchise had been heading downhill since the team forced Tom Coughlin to resign in 2015.
How quickly things change. The Giants posted a 9-7 record during the 2022 regular season and reached the playoffs. They beat the Vikings in the opening round and then lost to the Eagles in the second round.
Last season, the Giants fell to 6-11 and missed the playoffs. Quarterback Daniel Jones missed multiple games with injuries while Tommy DeVito and Tyrod Taylor started multiple games.
This season took the Giants fans to new lows. The team let running back Saquon Barkley head into free agency. He signed with the rival Eagles and kicked off what could be a historic season.
Daniel Jones, who signed a four-year, $160 million extension, started 10 games this season. He posted a win-loss record of 2-8 before the team demoted him to third-string quarterback. He was then released from the team.
Jones is now on the Vikings practice squad. Backup-turned-starter DeVito has missed one game due to an injury. He then headed to the bench for Sunday's game against the Saints while Drew Lock suited up for his second consecutive start.
The Giants will close out the season with games against the Ravens, Falcons, Colts, and Eagles. Winning more games is unlikely, but the fans hope that Mara will make some big changes during the offseason to set up the team for 2025.
