There was a lot of optimism surrounding the Las Vegas Raiders organization coming into this season. Antonio Pierce was getting to lead the team from the start of the season. After proving to be a worthy leader as their interim coach last season, the expectation was that he could piggyback off that same success in 2024. Especially with a full offseason to prepare. But the Raiders have endured a series of unfortunate events up to this point of the season. First, their star wide receiver Davante Adams forced his way to the New York Jets at the trade deadline. And more recently, they lost their starting quarterback Gardener Minshew for the rest of the season with an injury. With the playoffs out of reach, the Raiders are looking for an inkling of optimism to take into the offseason.

Similar to the Raiders, Coming into this season, a lot of people felt that the Falcons had the formula to become a playoff contender Especially after bringing in a veteran quarterback like Kirk Cousins.
But to this point, the Cousins hype train has not really left the station. This season he has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 17:13. He also has a quarterback rating of 90.8. As Cousins has struggled so have the Falcons as they have not won a game since November 3.

With both teams currently aboard the struggle bus, they will be looking to get back on the winning track in Week 15.
