At 47 years old, Moss just recently stepped away from his broadcasting role at ESPN, as he noted a "personal health challenge" as the reason.
Then a couple days ago, Moss addressed his health problems in an Instagram livestream, as he said he had to undergo a six-hour surgery to remove "a cancerous mass from his bile duct" (located right in between the liver and pancreas).
"Your boy is a cancer survivor... Some trying times of course. But you know, we made it through and for that — I thank you all."

The hall of famer continued, "All the prayers, the well wishes, I really felt that. My family felt that."
Before the Monday Night Football game, former teammates Jake Reed and Cris Carter honored Moss during the coin toss, as the crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium chanted, "Randy, Randy, Randy..."

Among the outpouring of prayers and support for Moss, the Vikings organization has expressed their sympathies.
"I just want to, on behalf of the whole Minnesota Vikings organization, just send him our well wishes and support," The team's head coach Kevin O'Connell said. "We love Randy and know our fanbase feels the same way."
Notably, Jefferson has followed in Moss' footsteps, as so far he has had a comparable career to arguably the greatest receiver to ever do it. At just 25 years old, Jefferson has already put up 7,069 yards on 467 receptions to go with 38 touchdowns in his first five seasons.
That is, he has broken multiple records, such as being the youngest player to 7k yards in NFL history.
All in all, JJettas still has some catching up to do...
In view of Moss' 14-year career, he accumulated 15,292 yards (4th all-time), and also scored 156 receiving touchdowns (2nd all-time), cementing himself forever on the NFL's pass-catchers Mount Rushmore.
