Fitting words to describe the Dallas Cowboys and their place in the sports world considering how the NFL team has become the biggest sports franchise in the United States. As Jones himself explains in the trailer, "it's bigger than winning football games."
The Dallas Cowboys are more than a football team; they are a brand.

"America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys" will explore the team's rise to prominence after Jones purchased it in 1989. Netflix says the documentary will tell this tale with first-hand interviews and footage that has not previously seen the light of day.
According to the Netflix description, the list of interviewees is extensive. It features Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, former head coach Jimmy Johnson, former head coach Barry Switzer, former President George W. Bush, and Nike co-founder Phil Knight.
The masterminds of the documentaries will be the Emmy-winning directors of "Wild Wild Country," which explored the Rajneeshees cult in Oregon, and the popular "Untold" sports documentary series.
Netflix did not provide an exact release date. Instead, the streamer simply said that "America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys" will premiere in 2025.
December has been a busy month for Netflix. The streamer has announced several new projects, including some focused on American football. This Dallas Cowboys documentary is only the latest example.
Netflix also announced on Wednesday the upcoming release of a series focusing on the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and its college football teams. This series, as the streamer explained, will cover the 2024 football season through eight, 45-minute episodes.
This series will show the teams, players, and coaches in a variety of locations. This includes the locker rooms and the team buses.
