And now two months after the World Series, Betts aired out his real thoughts on the situation.

Following the 11-4 loss to the Bronx Bombers, Betts initially held back when speaking to reporters about what had taken place.

"When it comes to the person in play, it doesn't matter," Betts said after the game. "We lost. It's irrelevant. I'm fine. He's fine. Everything's cool. We lost the game and that's what I'm kind of focused on. We got to turn the page and get ready for tomorrow."

With this in mind, while appearing on the Kevin Hart show, the comedian wanted to know what he really wanted to say.

"You were really diplomatic about the fans that tried to rip off your hand," Hart said. "But on this show you can say whatever you want, so here's your chance... to tell those guys exactly what you feel and what you wanna say."

That is, the 6x Gold Glove winner immediately responded.

"I would really say f*** you guys... I thought about throwing the ball at them & then I realized Mook you ain't gonna do sh*t, go back to right field!"

He elaborated on what was going through his mind at the time.

"I try and get the ball, cool. But then you try and grab my s***... I was in the moment, so I thought about throwing a ball at him, then I realized 'Mook, you ain't gonna do s***... get back to right field.'"

Soon after winning the World Series, Betts did let it be known that he told his wife this was the second time in his life that he ever wanted to fight someone.

"I don't know if he was trying to get the ball, I don't know what he was really trying to do, but he had to do what he had to do and it is what it is."

Ultimately, the two fans were escorted out of the stadium and were not allowed back for Game 5. However, Betts' teammate Max Muncy believes this wasn't enough, as he thinks they should have been banned for life.

What makes this all even more interesting is that one of the interfering fans was college buddies with 4x Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski.
