The Sacramento Kings 2024-25 campaign has been, to put it mildly, underwhelming. It's a far cry from that standout 2022-23 season when Mike Brown took over as head coach. Fans had something to get excited about as they watched that season's most scoringest offense battle with serious title contenders and light up the sky with every hard-fought victory.

Fast forward to this year and Sacramento is struggling to take over their division, never mind a top seed in the Western Conference. In a report, The Athletic cited a recent incident where Brown singled out All-star point guard De'Aaron Fox for a bad defensive possession that was the difference in Sacramento's 114-113 loss to Detroit. His public criticism of Fox and the team in postgame interviews allegedly influenced the decision of his firing.
