Xavier Legette Skins and Cooks Squirrel

Earlier this season, Legette revealed that he eats raccoon as a festive holiday dish, which some felt was a little odd. But this team, Legette has really outdone himself.

In a recent social media post, the Panthers wide receiver shows off a squirrel that he collected from a tree near its home and skinned it alive. In the video, Legette also cooks the squirrel on the grill and eats it.

Nick Saban Gets Honest on Bryce Young

Earlier this year, veteran Andy Dalton took over as quarterback of the Panthers, replacing 2023 first-overall pick Bryce Young. Young had a dismal start to the year, but some felt that the Panthers quarterback was not given a fair shot to succeed, being benched just two games into his sophomore season. One of those people was Young's college coach, Nick Saban, who argued whether or not Young was given the tools to succeed in Carolina.

"Do they have the type of players around Bryce Young to even give him a chance to be successful," the Hall of Fame coach questioned. "That's one of the bad things about being the first guy picked in a draft. You may go to a team that doesn't have all the pieces that you need."

Saban also noted that it was tough seeing his former quarterback being moved to QB2.

" [The Panthers] have to build this thing from the ground up. I hate to see Bryce get benched. But I also don't see a lot of opportunity for him to be successful based on the skill players they have around him, the offensive line they around him."

Young ended the season on a hot streak, throwing seven touchdowns in his last three games. It appears Saban may have had a point.
