Fans Begging Steelers to Fire Mike Tomlin

After a hot start to the season, and sitting atop of the AFC North for the most part throughout — the Pittsburgh Steelers came into the Wild Card riding a four-game losing streak.

That losing streak continued on Saturday. The Ravens jumped on top 21-0 and never looked back, cruising to a second straight victory, and the Steelers ended the season on a five-game skid.

With the Steelers' postseason struggles continuing, many fans left the game clamoring for Tomlin to be fired.

"I'm there. Fire Mike Tomlin. If the Steelers lose it's time," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I know a lot of people have been there already. For a long time. But I'm ready. Blow it up. Fire Mike Tomlin," another fan added.

Ravens Lamar Jackson Opens Up About Postseason Struggles

Ravens fans were a little concerned when the team dropped the first two games. From 1990 through the 2023 season, 279 teams have opened 0-2. Only 32 (11.5%) have made the postseason. Not great odds. But fast forward to the end of the season, and the Ravens head into the playoffs as the AFC North champs.

That is in large part due to the play of their starting quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is having arguably the best season of his career and seems to be in line to win back-to-back MVP awards. Jackson's final tally for the season is 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, and just 4 interceptions.

But the issue with Jackson has never been his performance in the regular season. His struggles have always been in the postseason. As Jackson is in line to win his third regular season MVP, he has just two wins in the postseason. But the Ravens QB says that he struggled with nerves in past years and feels that this year will be different.

"I'd just be too excited. That's all. Too antsy. I'm seeing things before it happened, like, 'Oh, I got to calm myself down.' But just being more experienced, I've found a way to balance it out," Jackson said.
