Aaron Rodgers Gets Honest About Broncos' Zach Wilson
The Jets selected Zach Wilson with the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. But despite an impressive college resume, that game never translated to the pros.
Wilson was never able to lead the Jets to the postseason as a starter. And when Aaron Rodgers became a free agent the Jets didn't hesitate to sign him signaling a new era in New York. But despite being replaced by Rodgers, Wilson was able to become a mentee to one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Rodgers says that even though Wilson is now in Denver he still extends his mentorship to the young quarterback.
"I still keep tabs on him, keep in touch here and there," Rodgers said earlier this season.
"I love Zach, and always looked at him like a little brother, and you know, I enjoyed our time together on and off the field, and I wish him all the success. I was really happy for him the way he finished up preseason and you know, I think this will be a good year for him to kind of reset, and hopefully he gets an opportunity down the road."
