Fans Rip 'Out of Shape' Travis Kelce

Despite having the best record in the NFL this season, some fans were still pessimistic heading into the playoffs. One particular point of concern was the Chiefs starting tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce had one of the worst seasons of his career in 2024, where he registered just 97 receptions, a career-low 823 receiving yards, and a career-low three touchdowns. Some fans believe Kelce's lethargic season could be the result of him not being in shape.

"He's been out of shape all year..... Travis Kelce looks like Jason Witten out there," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Does anyone actually think Mahomes and Travis Kelce have run since CHRISTMAS? I'm eager to see how out of shape they are," another fan added.

Tom Brady Gets Honest on Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes

The Chiefs' journey to the postseason has been no walk in the park. They have faced some of the most talented teams in the NFL this season, including the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, and San Francisco 49ers. Even more impressive is that the Chiefs have done so while dealing with a slew of injuries to their roster.

In addition, Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes' numbers have taken a significant dip, toeing the line of being pedestrian. However, even though Mahomes seems to have taken a step back, NFL legend Tom Brady says the way he continues to find ways to win has been most impressive.

"But what I love about his game is he's just finding ways to win. just think he's doing whatever he needs to help this team win,Brady said.

"And he knows he's got a defense that's going to limit points, limit yards, and when you have that, it's just a different mentality for a quarterback. He doesn't have to feel like he goes out there and it's like bombs over Baghdad. He just takes what they give him. If it's not there, he throws it away. Plays field position. Get some contributions in special teams and just an all-around great team effort for a great team win."
