Draymond Green Responds to Jordan Poole
However, Poole being the next big Warriors star was short-lived after Draymond Green sucker punched him during the 2022 training camp period. The Warriors were eliminated in the playoffs the following season and shortly after Poole was traded to the Washington Wizards as he and Green were unable to resolve their issues.
Poole scored 38 points in the Wizards matchup with the Warriors on January 18 and in his post-game interview he appeared to take a shot at Green when asked about the relationship he has with his former teammates.
"I love those guys over there. I love most of those guys over there," Poole said.
Although Poole never said Green's name, it was clear that Draymond was the odd man out in the Wizards guard's statement. So much so that Green actually apologized on social media.
"I really am so sorry," Green said in response to Poole's comments.

Kevin Durant Gets Candid on Warriors Departure
Poole isn't the only former Warriors player Draymond has had a beef with. Kevin Durant and Green's relationship hit a snag during his final year in Golden State in 2018. KD was still undecided on if he would resign with the Warriors which began to upset Green. Those frustrations came to a head during a nationally televised game when the two former teammates had a very visible heated exchange.
During an appearance on "All the Smoke," Durant revealed that moment played a key role in his decision to ultimately depart from the Warriors that summer.
"I'm just so confused at that point because he never did anything like that before," Durant said. "Everybody on the bench was confused, too. ... He started going off. ... For him to say that type of s**t to me, just threw me for a loop. I just started isolating myself after that cause I didn't feel like nobody talked about it. It was just swept under the rug. And to me, it was just like, 'We can move past it but let's all talk about it 'cause that's a huge moment in this whole dynasty."
