Fans had a laugh over this simple mistake, as one user wrote on X, "Ladies and gentlemen the new Mayor of Philadelphia Cherelle L. Parker I'd like to see her spell Philadelphia."

A lot of others questioned her qualifications to hold office, as one guy said, "The mayor of Philadelphia does not know how to spell E-A-G-L-E-S... The MAYOR. How does she have that job?!"

All in all, despite all the jokes, Parker was able to poke fun at herself as she addressed her spelling blunder at a press conference Tuesday.

"We don't promise perfection, and I'm so happy that I never have, especially since I couldn't spell 'Eagles' right," Parker said.

After defeating the Green Bay Packers (22-10) in the Wild Card round, the Eagles moved on to claim victory over the LA Rams (28-22) last Sunday. Now the Eagles will be facing their division rivals, the Washington Commanders, in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, January 26 @ 3:00 pm ET in Philadelphia.
