While appearing on ESPN's First Take with Stephen A. Smith and Dan Orlovsky, former NFL MVP quarterback Cam Newton dropped a bombshell that shocked the panel. That is, he compared Mark Andrews not speaking to the media, after dropping season-ending pass, to Fox Sports not addressing their sex scandal lawsuit.

Newton said, "When there's a Fox report that comes out and we haven't heard anybody speak about anything or make any type of public announcement, nobody has held Fox to that same thing. So why are we talking about making a big fuss about Mark Andrews if you're not going to keep that same energy across the board?"
Holy Sh*t: Cam Newton compares Mark Andrews avoiding the media to the Fox Sports misconduct lawsuit:
“Why make a fuss about Andrews if you’re not keeping the same energy about Fox’s report and lack of public accountability?”

For those who don't know, among the many secrets revealed in the lawsuit against Fox Sports, Stephen A. Smith's former co-star on First Take, Skip Bayless, has been accused of allegedly offering $1.5 million to sleep with a hairstylist (the plaintiff in the suit), who worked for the network.
That is, Stephen A may have been purposefully acting oblivious to what Newton was saying.
"Stephen A pretending he doesn't know what Cam is talking about is comedy," one user commented on X.
Then in view of Orlovsky's reaction, he was definitely trying to keep a straight face through it all, by holding in his laugh.
While some agreed with Newton's point of Fox Sports not taking accountability, there may be a reason for this, considering the current ongoing investigation.
One fan wrote on X, "Because you can't discuss allegations in pending litigation. Dropping a ball in the end zone is neither. Someone educate this know-it-all."
All in all, in view of Newton's point, Mark Andrews and the Fox Sports crew (Skip Bayless, Joy Taylor, Emmanuel Acho) certainly would prefer not to be in the public eye until the dust settles.
Notably, Stephen A. previously addressed the rumors surrounding Bayless.
"I've known Skip for just as long and I can't imagine," Smith said on his podcast. "The Skip Bayless I know has a hard time giving away $15. He's one of the cheapest people I know... Imagining him in this position is shocking to say the least, and all I could tell you is that it's not the Skip Bayless I know.
He concluded, "But that doesn't mean that I have any inside knowledge of this... I don't. And I'm not going to get involved. It's incredibly dicey for people who don't know to act like they know."
