Josh Allen and Sean McDermott have seen a lot of success together in Buffalo, but the most significant victories continue to slip through their fingers. Their latest heartbreak came on Sunday in Kansas City, where the Chiefs clinched a 32-29 win over the Bills, securing a Super Bowl berth and pushing the Allen/McDermott duo to 0-4 in playoff matchups against Kansas City. The loss has reignited conversations about whether this partnership will ever break through the postseason barrier.

But Allen isn't one of the skeptics. Speaking to reporters on Monday, he made it clear that he has unwavering faith in McDermott's ability to lead the team to a championship.
"I'm extremely confident in Coach McDermott," Allen said. "This is gonna sound weird, I'm just so proud of coach. I don't know why he's not recognized more in the awards stuff. That's the cruddy thing about it. But time in and time out, he's got us in position... We're fighting to get over that hump, and he gives his life to this. He's so committed to doing whatever it takes."
The Bills have certainly enjoyed their fair share of success, winning five straight division titles and consistently being considered a Super Bowl contender. Still, despite their regular-season dominance, they've fallen short when it matters most. With each postseason disappointment, the pressure mounts for McDermott and Allen to find the right formula to push past their rivals and secure the ultimate prize. The team has made plenty of progress, but for the Bills, the climb to the top continues.
"There's a reason we're always in the conversation," Allen acknowledged, "but until we win it all, there's always going to be more work to do."
