Former Star Receiver Antonio Brown Teases NFL Return With Cryptic Social Media Post

Earlier this month former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen accepted the position as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and it already has one former Buccaneers player eyeing a comeback. Former Buccaneers star, Antonio Brown won a championship with Tampa Bay in 2020. And after a clip surfaced of Coen, letting out Jacksonville's signature "Duval" chant, Brown hinted at making an NFL return.

Brown Details Fallout With Tom Brady

Antonio Brown's NFL career was filled with controversy. But the finale of his career was perhaps his most memorable act. In his final career game with the Tampa Bay Buccanneers, Brown appeared to be having a dispute on the sideline with an assistant coach during a game against the New York Jets.

Brown could have talked the issues out with the coach calmly on the sideline or perhaps even waited until he got to the locker room. But instead Brown removed his helmet, jersey, and shoulder pads. He then ran off the sideline, onto the field, and into the locker room as he pumped up the crowd at MetLife Stadium.

But Brown insists that his issues in Tampa Bay started way before he even took the field at Metlife Stadium that Sunday. He alleged that his beef started over contract negotiations, and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was the catalyst of that.

"After we get the ring in [2020], the next year, I'm the last guy that signed," Brown said. "My agent, Ed Wasielewski, is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over 'Why is he pushing back for the contract for scraps?' Imagine if you heard that, the same guy that brought you in to win a ring, the same agent he told you to hook up with to get the deal, is now telling me, the guy's calling him ... cursing him out about scraps of a contract."
