Cam Newton always has a flair for the dramatic, but his latest prediction about the Dallas Cowboys might be his most outlandish yet. On Thursday's edition of ESPN's First Take, Newton dropped a bombshell, claiming that new Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer is destined to be a one-and-done coach, and that the team is intentionally tanking for Texas QB Arch Manning in the 2025 draft.

And if that wasn't enough, Newton went full "Godfather" mode, predicting that Jerry Jones would somehow lure Nick Saban out of retirement to take over as head coach.
"I think they're tanking for Arch. Make it make sense. Coach Schottenheimer has one-and-done written all over him," Newton said. "You get the first pick of the draft. Not only that, I'm going to go into my Godfather bag and say, okay, Jerry Jones is a businessman, and he's going to get into this Don Corleone mentality, he's going to give him a deal that he can't refuse. Who? Nick Saban. Go and get Nick Saban as your head coach. Go draft Arch Manning as the No. 1 pick."
Let's break this down. First, Arch Manning hasn't even proven himself at the college level. While he's a highly touted prospect, he still has to show he's worthy of the No. 1 pick, especially with his upcoming season at Texas. Newton ignored all of that.
Second, the idea of Jones convincing Nick Saban—who's 74 and just retired after a legendary college career—to return to the NFL seems like a pipe dream. Saban himself has said he regretted his brief NFL stint, so what exactly makes Newton think he'd suddenly jump back in for the Cowboys?
While Newton and his boldness are likely the reason he's on ESPN in the first place, this "master plan" feels more like a fantasy than anything grounded in reality. Still, it's always fun to hear what outrageous predictions Newton will come up with next.
