Saquon Barkley Gets Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the Eagles star revealed that he is now engaged to his long-time sweetheart, Anna Congdon, who he met while he was at Penn State.

In his interview, Barkley paid homage to his fiancee who he says plays a massive role in his success both on and off the field.

"I can't be the athlete I am and have the success I have so in my career without the help of her," Barkley said.

"She's been super helpful and always has my back, not only in football but throughout life there's a lot that goes on. But as we continue to grow and mature and go through life together, we continue getting closer and continue to get even better."

Eagles Urged to Make Trade For Star Pass Rusher

The Eagles are stacked on the offensive side of the field with an assortment of weapons headlined by A.J. Brown, Saquon Barkley, and Devonta Smith. But if there was one area where they could use an upgrade it would be on their defensive line. Although they are in the midst of a deep playoff run, it's never too early to look for potential improvements for next season. One media pundit believes the Eagles should explore a deal for Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby.

"The team that should consider trading for him is the Philadelphia Eagles. As it currently stands, the Eagles are in the playoffs, but it hasn't necessarily been pretty. Nick Sirianni and the team are still struggling to get on the same page, and the defensive line isn't performing up to par either. They have a contending level team, but for the defense to only have generated a 17.9% pressure rate, they need additional help and need to get younger," The Wright Way Network's Marissa Myers writes.

"Philadelphia has a more stable quarterback situation with Jalen Hurts, which is an upgrade for Crosby compared to what he has dealt with in Las Vegas. The Eagles need to continue to go all in, and the Raiders need to ensure they accelerate their rebuild with draft capital, and trading Crosby is how they do so."
