Micah Parsons has shown some major support for his quarterback. He has said that Dak Prescott should have won league MVP in 2023 over Lamar Jackson.

Parsons made the comment during a Wednesday appearance on NFL Network's "GMFB." He spoke about the media storylines and how they view certain quarterbacks differently than others. He then provided a specific example.
"Well I think Dak should have been the MVP last year," Parsons told "GMFB" co-host Kyle Brandt. "All things aside, you look at the stats and everything he accomplished — 12-5, playoff team — however you want to name it.
"He didn't have a Triple Crown defense, he didn't have all that. But then the year Lamar puts up the same numbers Dak did, he's a for sure kick-in for MVP."

The 2023 season was one of Prescott's best performances as a quarterback. He led the league with 410 completions and 36 touchdowns. He threw for 4,516 yards and only nine interceptions. He rushed for two more touchdowns and 242 yards as the Cowboys went 12-5.
Jackson, for comparison, threw for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He rushed for 821 yards and five touchdowns as the Ravens went 13-4. The Ravens reached the AFC Championship but lost to the Chiefs. Jackson then won his second MVP award during the annual NFL Honors ceremony.
Jackson's first MVP award came after the 2019 season. He threw for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns — the same number as Prescott in 2023. He only threw six interceptions. Jackson rushed for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns.
Parsons continued and said that he's not taking anything away from the Ravens quarterback, but he noted that Prescott faced scrutiny for not winning a playoff game against the Packers while Jackson seemingly received credit for a defense-heavy win.
"His defense let him down," Parsons said about Prescott. "We gave up 30 points. We couldn't stop the run, so was that really Dak's fault?"
As an example, the Cowboys defender pointed to a December 2023 game between the Ravens and the 49ers. Parsons noted that the Ravens defense delivered five turnovers during the 33-19 win that sealed Jackson's MVP bid.
