Fox Sports showed the moment President Trump arrived for Super Bowl 59. He shook hands with multiple people — including some players — and then waved to the crowd.
As multiple bystanders showed, President Trump also met with the families of the victims and the first responders from the Jan. 1 terrorist attack in New Orleans.

The pre-game rounds also included meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson, and Chiefs defender Chris Jones. President Trump then went to the suite to watch the rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs.
Of course, attending the Super Bowl did not keep the president from signing a proclamation. He declared Feb. 9, 2025, as the first-ever Gulf of America Day. He called on public officials and people of the United States to observe the day with "appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities."
The pilot of Air Force One recognized the moment with an in-flight announcement as President Trump and his staff headed to Super Bowl 59.
"Attention on board," the pilot said. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you could please direct your attention out the right side of the aircraft, Air Force One is currently in international waters, for the first time in history flying over the recently renamed Gulf of America."
President Donald Trump was far from the only high-profile figure in attendance for the biggest game of the NFL. He was just the only one making history.
Other celebrities on hand for the Chiefs vs. Eagles included comedian Pete Davidson, actor Paul Rudd, Fox Sports analyst Clint Bowyer, actor Jon Hamm, actor Bradley Cooper, soccer star Leo Messi, actor Miles Teller, and Rams head coach Sean McVay.
