Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving will fill in for his injured teammate Anthony Davis on Team Shaq in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver handed down his decision on Monday.

This marks Kyrie Irving's ninth career All-Star appearance in a season riddled with ups and downs for his squad. Still, he continues to be a beacon for Mavs fans, averaging 24.1 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season on 47.5% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range.
Davis was selected as an All-Star reserve days before the Los Angeles Lakers traded him to Dallas in exchange for Luka Doncic. But after suffering an abductor strain during his Mavericks debut on Saturday he'll be sidelined for at least a month.
Kyrie Irving was the second replacement named to this year's All-Star roster on Monday. Earlier in the day Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young was named to the East's roster in place of injured Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco. The new four-team, three-game tournament will air at 8 p.m. ET.
