Mavs Fan Kicked Out Of Arena After Mouthing ‘Fire Nico’ On Jumbotron

The Dallas Mavericks fanbase has been dealing with heartbreak this month, as they lost their once-in-a-generation superstar Luka Doncic in a trade that sent the 25-year-old to LA, in exchange for Anthony Davis (who is now injured).

That is, with Luka on the Lakers, the fans have been taking their frustrations out on the Mavs' front office.

In particular, GM Nico Harrison has been the recipient of much backlash across the city. So much so, that he has had to hire armed guards to protect his home in Dallas after receiving death threats.

The organization has also gone to great lengths to protect him, which was evident during Monday night's 129-128 overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings.

Certainly, there was expected to be a few disgruntled fans inside American Airlines Center, and one fan in particular went viral after he mouthed "fire Nico" on the jumbotron.

And then after that, the same fan was seen holding up a sign that read, "Fire Nico," and he was subsequently ejected from the arena.

With this in mind, this gentleman wasn't the only one that was kicked out, as clips of other fans being forced to leave for doing the same thing have surfaced.

Fans have reacted to this online, as one user on X wrote: "I'm not a Mavs fan anymore. After seeing how they treat their fans who actually paid for tickets... Kicking a guy out for mouthing Fire Nico [is] the final nail in my fandom coffin. Never again. Go @Lakers. F*** You @NicoHarrisonGM."

To make matters worse for the franchise, the superstar player they got in exchange for Luka, Anthony Davis, got injured in his first game in a Mavericks uniform (116-105 win vs. Rockets, 2/08/25).

That is, AD has been diagnosed with an adductor injury and is expected to be out for multiple weeks.
