LeBron James Trolls Green Bay Men’s Basketball Head Coach Greg Gottlieb After Horrendous Start To Season

Green Bay's men's basketball coach Greg Gottlieb has been known to be extremely critical of LeBron James, and now it seems the tables have turned.

That is, LeBron is now calling out the first-year Green Bay coach after his team has gotten off to an abysmal start this season, posting a 3-24 record in the Horizon League.

"Earned 2 Not Given! Gotta give him credit though!" - LeBron said in responses to a tweet that read, "Doug Gottlieb and Green Bay have not won a basketball game in three months."

To point out though, Green Bay did win the night prior to LeBron's comment was posted, so technically the Phoenix have won their first game in three months.

As it is usually a rare sight for 40-year-old LeBron to talk back to his haters, many believe he is retaliating for Gottlieb's comments at the start of the 2024-25 season, in which he criticized the fact that Bronny James was playing in the NBA.

Back in November 2024, Gottlieb said: "This toxicity is based upon one guy. And LeBron is a good father, is a good parent, but he's a bad basketball parent because he's making people elevate his kid to a level that his skill is not close to being at."

Gottlieb has also went on record saying that Bronny would not start on his team.

While many have pointed out Bronny's not-so-impressive NBA stats, the 2024 No. 52 draft pick has put up some decent numbers in the G-League (17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.6 steals) and has shown signs of improvement.

All in all, being the son of LeBron James will always result in having critics, yet Bronny will have a chance to prove them all wrong.

As for Gottlieb, this isn't the first time that he has been trolled, as he also referred to his opponent Michigan Tech, "Nobody U," and then proceeded to lose 88-67.
