The New York Mets recently acquired former Yankees star Juan Soto in free agency, signing him to a record-breaking 15-year/$765,000,000 deal.

And upon being welcomed to his new club in December, teammate Brett Baty let Soto have his No. 22 jersey.
Now a couple months later, the favor has been returned.
That is, on Thursday Soto surprised Baty with a brand new Chevy Tahoe as a token of his appreciation.

Upon seeing his new ride with "Thanks For #22" written on the back of the vehicle, Baty was stoked.
He was repeatedly heard saying, ""This is crazy. This is crazy!"
Some fans reacted to this by noting the wage gap between the 4x All-Star and the 25-year-old third baseman, with Soto earning about $51 million per year, while Baty is set to make about $800,000.
One user on X wrote: "After using some basic math, if this car cost $100,000 then Juan Soto spent 0.013% of his $765 million contract. Better "slow" down on that spending..... Awesome for Brett Baty!"
While another poked fun, "Baty gonna be driving that for uber out on the city after this season! Lol."
All in all Mets fans are excited to see No. 22 in their team colors this season, as the former Bronx Bomber is coming off a year where he hit 41 home runs (.288 batting average), 128 runs and 109 RBI's.
The Mets will open up their season vs. the Astros in Houston on Thursday, March 27.
