That is, upon the student making the full-court shot, the 3x Super Bowl winning QB celebrated with the kid, as the rest of the crowd erupted.

For those wondering, the prize for doing all of that was a pair of AirPods Pro headphones, which may have been a bit underwhelming considering the celebrations.

Nevertheless, in a moment he will never forget, this fan got to share a special moment with Mahomes, as they rushed over to each other, and collided for a mid-air celebration.

Notably, this was one of the first times the Chiefs quarterback made a public appearance following the 40-22 heartbreaking loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

The two-time MVP Mahomes received a standing ovation from his Alma mater upon being recognized at United Supermarkets Arena.

Unfortunately, No. 10 Texas Tech fell to No. 4 Houston 69-61.

All in all, Mahomes has maintained a great relationship with the school, as he even made a $5 million donation to the football program.
