That is, while at the Draft Combine, Green has attempted to clear the air when speaking to the media about his suspension and subsequent transfer from Virginia two years ago.

"There's accusations out there. I've never been questioned," Green said. "I've never been asked. Nobody ever asked me a question about what happened before I departed from Virginia. It was just accusations that caused me to leave."

He clarified he never was charged with anything.

"There's a lot of talk out there, and it's just a bunch of people that really don't know what actually happened," Green continued. "I'm not worried at all... I have no concerns, and I have no problem with talking to these teams about it because I know who I am and I know the truth."

"Everybody else that thinks they know the truth. That's not my concern right now."

To note, Mike Green proved his dominance on the gridiron this past season, leading the nation with 17.0 sacks, in addition to racking up 23 tackles for loss and forcing three fumbles in 13 games in 2024.

The 6'4", 250-pound defensive end told the media personnel at the Combine, "I'm the best edge rusher here."

And when asked what makes him the best, he simply responded: "film."
