Former NFL Star Le’Veon Bell Addresses His Cousin’s Sexual Abuse Accusations Following $25 Million Lawsuit Judgement

Former Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell is facing some serious allegations brought forth by his cousin, Jada Bell, who is accusing him of "having nonconsensual, incestual relations with her," starting when she was six or seven years old and going all the way up until she was 18.

That is, reportedly Jada first filed a police report in Columbus in October 2022 and then submitted her complaint to the courts on March 22, 2024 & October 2024. And since the ex-NFL star never appeared in court, she was given a default judgment in her favor.

On February 26 of this year, during a damages hearing, a jury determined that Le'Veon Bell owes $20 million in compensatory damages plus $5 million in punitive damages to his younger cousin.

As shown in court documents.

Then in addition Bell's younger brother, La'Vonte, was found to owe the victim more than $11 million in damages (per New York Post), being that he also was accused of "assault, battery and childhood sexual abuse."

However, Le'Veon is claiming it's all "bogus," saying he had no idea about the charges up until a couple days ago when TMZ reached out to him for questioning.

Considering this, he believes the signature signed (which proved he was served) had actually been forged.

In a Twitch livestream on Tuesday, the 3x Pro Bowler vehemently denied he ever forced himself on anyone in his life.

Le'Veon gave background on his relationship with Jada, who he says he financially took care of since her dad was in prison and mom was "an alcoholic."

All that to say, apparently Le'Veon and Jada's relationship came to a halt in 2022 when he stopped paying for her rent and other expenses, which led her to getting evicted.

On stream, Bell said he received a text from her at the time which read, "we're gonna see who the bad guy is" ... and apparently a few years later this then led to the serious false accusations, according to him.

Thomas W. Shaffer, Bell's attorney, told TMZ, "My client adamantly denies any and all allegations that have been lodged against him. Further, he was never served with a civil complaint or any documents."

"The default judgment granted was based upon violations of his Fifth Amendment rights of due process for failing to be served," he continued. "My client is in the process of filing a motion to open and reverse the default judgment because the narratives of the case have never been litigated."

During his eight-year NFL career, Bell rushed for 6,455 yards and 42 touchdowns, also catching 399 passes for 3,289 yards and nine receiving TDs.

With all his NFL contracts added together, Bell earned upwards of $45 million. And now at 33 years old, he has since started his new career as a pro boxer; so far Bell has a 2-1 record and an exhibition knockout win over former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
