Rapper Kevin Gates has went viral for making comments directed at Lakers superstar LeBron James' wife, Savannah, in which he said she is the reason why he would not want to "trade places" with the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

"Man [LeBron] he one of the greatest players to ever play the game. But I wouldn't want to trade places with him," Gates said. "Because I don't like the way Savannah look at LeBron, I like the way them white women look at LeBron. Like, as soon as he walk out there, they just... be geeked out."
He continued to elaborate on his criticisms for Mrs. James, "You act like the warden of the jail, like you came here to police me. You not d****d out like these white women. I just couldn't do it. It hurt me to see that. Man, you dive on the floor behind that n***a man."

Many fans expressed confusion over Gates scrutinizing how LeBron James' wife looks at him.
One Instagram user wrote, "Something about another man talking about another man just don't sit right wit me... cause."
Another fan pointed out, "They lust after him. She LOVES him...big difference."
All in all, it's important to remember Savannah and LeBron have been together for roughly 25 years, dating back to when they were classmates at St. Vincent-St. Mary's high school in Akron, Ohio.
Needless to say, it's not hard to imagine that female fans are going to react differently upon seeing arguably the best athlete in the world for the first time, compared to the wife who sees him everyday behind closed doors.

With this in mind, Savannah, the mother of their three kids, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri, has never once publicly shaded LeBron and has seemingly been supportive of King James all throughout his 22-year NBA career.
LeBron, who normally doesn't respond to social media comments, took time out of his day to apparently address this.
"Kings don't concern themselves with the opinions of peasants," LeBron said on IG Sunday along with including a picture of Savannah smiling at him. "Where to next Queen?!?! Let's get it!"

He continued, "As long as you being celebrated, I don't care who don't like me."

Moving forward LeBron will most likely give no more attention to any off-the-court stuff, especially considering the playoffs have just begun.
That is, as many remember back during his days in Cleveland, LeBron used to go "Zero Dark thirty-23 mode" during the postseason, which entailed him not being active online at all.
In view of the Lakers' First Round Game 1 matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night, they suffered a blowout 117-95 loss.
LeBron scored 19 points (8-of-18 FG), while grabbing five rebounds, dishing out three assists, in addition to contributing three blocks and two steals,
Game 2 will be played Tuesday, April 22 at Crypto.com Arena, and while most fans will be keeping an eye on how LeBron performs in his 289th career playoff game, Kevin Gates might instead be analyzing Savannah's facial expressions towards her husband courtside.
